HEGGEL®️ MORTARS
HEGGEL Mortars are acid and alkali resistant mortars used in the acid and process industries primarily for laying and grouting ceramic or carbon bricks and moldings to produce chemically, thermally and mechanically resistant coatings and protective linings.
HEGGEL Mortars are characterized by their impermeable structure and wide range of chemical resistance to acids, alkalis and hydrocarbons.
HEGGEL Mortars offer a versatile range of products with different binders, such as Furan, Potassium-Silicate, Phenolic, Vinyl Ester and Epoxy resins, each covering a range of mechanical and chemical resistance.
HEGGEL®️ EP 610
Temperature-resistant 2-component epoxy resin mortar
HEGGEL Mortar EP 610 is suitable for laying and jointing of wear protection materials or for levelling of uneven substrates. HEGGEL Mortar EP can be applied to both stainless steel and concrete substrates.
Characteristics:
- Resilient at higher temperatures
- Temperature resistance up to +150°C (steel substrates)
HEGGEL®️ EP 611
Epoxy resin based wear resistant filler system
HEGGEL EP 611 is a highly wear resistant filler system with hard material fillers based on an epoxy resin.
Characteristics:
- Short curing time
- Highly wear resistant
- Joint less
- Overhead application possible
- Layer thicknesses from 5 mm up to 40 mm
- Temperature resistance up to +150°C (steel substrates)
HEGGEL®️ PL 620
Two-Component Synthetic Phenolic Resin Mortar
HEGGEL PL 620 is a two-component mortar based on a modified phenolic resole resin and carbon filler for easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks.
Characteristics:
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic and carbon bricks
- Extremely high chemical resistance, especially to acids, solvents and weak oxidizing chemicals
- The hardened mortar conducts electricity
- Suitable for linings, where a pre-stressing must be achieved
HEGGEL®️ PL 621
2-C-phenol resin mortar with carbon fillers
HEGGEL PL 621 is a black, two-component, cold curing synthetic mortar based on a modified phenol resin with carbon fillers.
Characteristics:
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic and carbon bricks
- Extremely high chemical resistance, especially to acids and solvents
- The hardened mortar is electrical conductive
- HEGGEL PL 621 SOLUTION does not separate water during storage
- Very good application because of dust free fillers
HEGGEL®️ FU 630
Two-Component Furan Resin Mortar
HEGGEL FU 630 is suitable for bedding and jointing of tiles, bricks and fittings made of ceramic or carbon for the production of chemical, thermal and mechanic resistant coatings and protective linings. Main applications are tiling and brick linings in apparatuses for the chemical industry, waste water and process water treatment, in canals, pits and reservoirs, power plants, warehouses and workshops, neutralization- and pickling lines.

HEGGEL®️ FU 631
2-C-furan resin mortar with carbon fillers
HEGGEL FU 631 is a two-component mortar based on a modified furan resin with carbon filler used for easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic bricks, tiles or carbon bricks.
Characteristics:
- Temperature resistance up to 220°C (Dependent on the type of chemical being used)
- Excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of media: Various inorganic and organic acids and alkalis (including hydrofluoric acid), solvents, hydrocarbons, greases, oils and fuels
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks
- Electrically conductive
- Suitable for tank linings, as the relatively high shrinkage does not have as strong an effect here as with large-area floor tilings
HEGGEL®️ FU 632
2-C-furan resin mortar with carbon fillers
HEGGEL FU 632 is a black, two-component, cold curing synthetic resin mortar, based on a modified furan resin with carbon fillers.
Characteristics:
- The hardened mortar is electric conductive
- High chemical resistance against acids, alkalis and certain solvents
- High temperature resistance
- Lower shrinkage then other furan resins
- Low odour
- Long shelf life even at higher temperatures, therefore also suitable in tropic regions

Two-Component Furan Resin Mortar
HEGGEL FU 633 is a two-component mortar based on a modified aldehyde-free furan resin used for easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic bricks, tiles or carbon bricks.
HEGGEL®️ FU 636
Two-Component Furan Resin Mortar with Carbon Fillers
HEGGEL FU 636 is primarily a bedding and jointing mortar for fixing carbon bricks and tiles in temperate climates (15 - 30oC). It is provided in two-component format, a Furan solution and a catalysed carbon filler powder.

Two-Component Synthetic Furan Resin Mortar
HEGGEL FU 638 is a two-component aldehyde-free mortar based on a modified furan resin and hydrofluoric acid-resistant fillers for easy bedding and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks
Characteristics:
- Excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of media: Various inorganic and organic acids and alkalis (including hydrofluoric acid), greases, oils and fuels, solvents and various hydrocarbons.
- Excellent adhesion to ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks
- Temperature resistance up to 180°C (Dependent on the type of chemical being used)
- Electrically conductive
- Economical use due to favourable resin/filler ratio
HEGGEL®️ VE 640
2-C-vinyl ester resin mortar
HEGGEL VE 640 is a two-component, cold curing synthetic resin mortar, based on a Novolac vinyl ester resin with mineral fillers
Characteristics:
- Very good mechanical resistance
- Very good chemical resistance, especially against oxidizing media, as well as many organic compounds
- Fast curing
HEGGEL®️ VE 641
Epoxy Novolac Vinylester Mortar with Carbon Fillers
HEGGEL VE 641 is an epoxy novolac vinylester resin mortar formulated with carbon fillers for facilitating easy laying and jointing of acid-resistant ceramic tiles, bricks, or carbon bricks.
Characteristics:
- Excellent chemical resistance to a wide range of media: Acids, alkalis, solvents and oxidising media.
- High adhesion strength to ceramic tiles, bricks or carbon bricks
- Hydrofluoric acid resistance
- Temperature resistance up to 120°C (Dependent on the type of chemical being used)
- Suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications
- Electrically conductive

2-C-halogen free potassium silicate mortar
HEGGEL SP 660 is a two-component, halogen-free, bedding and jointing mortar based on potassium silicate.
Characteristics:
- Halogen-Free, containing no Fluoride
- Extremely high resistance against acids
- Temperature Resistance up to +900°C
HEGGEL®️ SP 661
High thermal resistance potassium silicate mortar
HEGGEL SP 662 is a halogen free potassium silicate mortar, which has been specially designed to be used by spraying (similar to sprayed concrete). HEGGEL SP 662 is a compact system which includes a specially formulated hardener, which by mixing with water, chemically reacts to harden.

- Halogen free containing no fluorides
- Extremely high acid resistance
- Temperature Resistance to +900°C
- Very good bonding strength to steel
- Nearly the same coefficient of expansion as steel
HEGGEL®️ SP 662
Halogen free potassium silicate mortar
HEGGEL SP 661 is a potassium silicate mortar with corresponding chemical but higher thermal resistance compared to conventional potassium silicate mortars.
Characteristics:
- Hardening at room temperature therefore self-supporting brickwork, even before sintering
- Fast sintering, which prevents the mortar flowing out of the joints
- Temperature Resistance up to +1400°C
- The expansion coefficient is similar to ceramic bricks
HEGGEL®️ SP 664
Halogen-Free Sodium Silicate Mortar
HEGGEL SP 664 is a halogen-free Sodium Silicate mortar, which in order to be applied only needs to be mixed with water; which chemically reacts with the powder to harden. The Hardener and Binder are included in the powder.

Halogen Free Sodium Silicate Mortar
HEGGEL SP 665 is a grey, halogen free sodium silicate mortar, which by mixing with water, chemically reacts to harden. The hardener and binder are included in the powder.

HEGGEL®️ SP 668
Halogen-Free Water Glass Mortar
HEGGEL SP 668 is a halogen-free, two-component water glass mortar designed for bedding and joining of acid-resistant tiles or bricks specially on floors. Tile lining systems bedded and jointed with HEGGEL SP 668 provide strong resistance to chemicals and heat, especially in acidic and neutral environments
Characteristics:
- Excellent acid resistance (not including hydrofluoric acid)
- Highly resistant to oxidizing agents, organic solvents, oils, greases, and fuels
- Water-resistant, suitable for neutral pH environments, and rainwater-resistant, making it suitable for outdoor use
- Temperature resistance up to 450°C (Dependent on the type of chemical being used)
- Can be applied to metal surfaces without pre-treatment
- Halogen-free
HEGGEL®️ EP 671
3-C, black, cold curing epoxy based mortar
HEGGEL EP 671 is a black, three-component, cold curing synthetic mortar based on an epoxy resin with very good resistance against abrasive loads.
