HEGGEL®️ Corr

HEGGEL Corr is a novel and extremely high performance protective coating with superior chemical resistance in a wide thermal range from normal ambient temperature up to 550 °C.

The exclusive properties of HEGGEL Corr are based on its unique molecular structure, which consists of both organic and inorganic molecules.

Accordingly, HEGGEL Corr offers a thermally stable highly crosslinked structure, impermeable properties, superior resistance to extremely aggressive chemical stress and excellent mechanical abrasion resistance.

HEGGEL Corr products are applied as a single layer directly to the substrate and cure at ambient temperatures. The application is carried out by airless spraying or optionally by brush and does not require any primer or undercoat. Long service life and easy repairability are further outstanding features of HEGGEL Corr products.

HEGGEL®️  Corr 210

High-Tech Chemical-Resistant Coating

HEGGEL Corr 210 is a two-component hybridised epoxy High-Tech coating, providing special chemical resistance in temperatures ranging from -70°C to +190°C when immersed and up to +250°C when not immersed. This advanced, solvent-free coating is the result of cutting-edge technologies that seamlessly integrate organic and inorganic molecules at a molecular level. This unique blend delivers remarkable thermal stability and creates a highly crosslinked structure, granting an unparalleled level of chemical resistance. The cured coating not only excels in sliding abrasion resistance but also boasts a smooth finish that improves fluid flow and mitigates sludge build-up. HEGGEL Corr 210 can be effectively cleaned using high-temperature steam.

High-Tech Protective Coating

HEGGEL Corr 211 is a two-component hybridised epoxy coating that offers exceptional temperature resistance. It is designed to withstand temperatures ranging from -50°C to +170°C when immersed and up to +230°C when not immersed. This innovative coating is the outcome of state-of-the-art technologies that combine organic and inorganic molecular structures at their foundation. The unique fusion of these elements results in outstanding thermal stability and the formation of a highly crosslinked structure, providing an unmatched level of chemical resistance. Once cured, the coating exhibits outstanding mechanical characteristics, including enhanced abrasion resistance and remarkable impact resistance.

HEGGEL®️  Corr 212

Superior Corrosion Resistant Coating

HEGGEL Corr 212 is a two-component semi paste-grade coating based on hybridized epoxy that provides exceptional resistance to corrosion in extremely harsh chemical environments, sustaining optimal performance within temperatures ranging from -70°C to +225°C by immersion and up to +280°C under non-immersed conditions. HEGGEL Corr 212 is a state-of-the-art semi paste-grade coating system developed from innovative technologies that meld organic and inorganic molecular structures at the fundamental level. The resulting thermal stability, and highly crosslinked structure, affords an unmatched spectrum of chemical resistance from sub-ambient temperatures to those exceeding 225°C, with only ambient curing required. The cured coating not only offers outstanding adhesive strength but also displays resistance to sliding abrasion and a notably smooth finish, making it ideal for fluid flow enhancement and sludge build-up prevention. HEGGEL Corr 212 is able to withstand steam cleaning process at temperatures above 225°C. Moreover, the option for an on-site application on the exterior of a hot surface is available through HEGGEL Corr 212.

High-Pressure Tolerant Modified Phenolic Coating

HEGGEL Corr 240 is a solvent-free phenolic epoxy-based coating known for its excellent resistance, specifically tailored for equipment subjected to high-pressure process fluids and gas mixtures. This coating is ideal for gas pressure/separator vessels and down-hole tubulars. HEGGEL Corr 240 rapidly cures to form a smooth, highly abrasion-resistant finish, enhancing fluid flow and preventing the build-up of paraffin, asphaltene, and scale. Its extraordinary adhesive strength, exceeding 4200 psi, along with its resistance to gas permeation, enables it to endure explosive decompression cycles.

HEGGEL®️  Corr 250

Erosion Resistant Ceramic-Metal Coating

HEGGEL Corr 250 is a ceramic/metal epoxy coating, specially formulated for resurfacing and protecting equipment against erosion and corrosion. This hand applied coating offers exceptional abrasion resistance, making it particularly effective against areas impacted by erosion and wear damage from particles. Notably resistant to fine particle abrasion, it can be applied up to a dry film thickness (DFT) of 15 mm. HEGGEL Corr 250 is not advised for situations involving cavitation erosion.

Ultra-Smooth Flow-Reducing Coating

HEGGEL Corr 260 is a two-component ultra-smooth coating, designed to enhance energy efficiency and prolong the service life of critical equipment. Its hydrophobic nature creates a frictionless surface that not only improves fluid flow but also effectively resists cavitation, erosion, fouling, and sludge build-up. When used as a surface coat alongside HEGGEL Fix products, it can prolong equipment life and enhance its initial engineering performance specification. This can lead to reduced equipment maintenance costs and energy consumption, ultimately lowering overall operational expenses.

Graphite-Enhanced Phenolic Coating

HEGGEL Corr 270 is a solvent-free, graphite-modified phenolic lining designed for ultra-high chemical resistance, particularly against concentrated organic and mineral acids, with a specific emphasis on concentrated hydrofluoric acid at elevated temperatures up to 100°C. HEGGEL Corr 270 is an ideal choice for protecting components that transport fluorinated acids, including hydrofluoric acid. The maximum operating temperature of this advanced coating system varies depending on the specific chemical application, ensuring tailored protection for a range of aggressive substances.

Epoxy based Protective Coating, AWWA C210-15 approved

HEGGEL Coat 101 is a two-component solvent-free coating based on epoxy, with high quality corrosion protective pigments and inhibitors. The special combination with micaceous iron oxide (MIO) in the common DB colour shades, increases the diffusion barrier and thus the corrosion protection and weather resistance at interim weathering of the partial protection system (transport and installation period).

HEGGEL Coat 111 is a two-component epoxy coating, comprising micro-ceramic particles within a cutting-edge Novolac-resin base, exhibiting outstanding corrosion protection properties. HEGGEL Coat 111 is a cost-effective coating solution with superior abrasion resistance, specifically designed to protect steel structures from corrosion-induced deterioration. Application of HEGGEL Coat 111 can be done through airless spray equipment, allowing for a high-build, single-coat application. However, multiple applications are also possible. Its unique formulation eliminates the need for a primer, though an epoxy zinc primer can be applied if necessary. For manual applications, the specially formulated HEGGEL Coat 122 is recommended, which is optimized for hand application.

Epoxy Coating with Bionic Corrosion Inhibitor

HEGGEL Coat 141 is a two-component epoxy coating with bionic corrosion inhibitor. HEGGEL Coat 141 is designed for use as high-performance chemical and abrasion resistant coating and offers excellent anticorrosion properties combined with good resistance to aggressive, flammable and non-flammable liquids and chemicals. Its free of benzyl alcohol and nonylphenol and VOC<2%. HEGGEL Coat 141 must be applied by using airless spray equipment with a flow heater.

HEGGEL Coat 151 is a two-component polyurethane spray coating, coloured. It is resistant to acids and alkalis. HEGGEL Coat 151 if sprayed in multiple passes on vertical surfaces, it can be built up to a considerable thickness. HEGGEL Coat 151 has a high resistance to abrasion.

Due to the special acrylate polymer combination, it is possible to achieve abrasion resistant surfaces which are easy to clean. It is water-based and VOC < 25 g/L.

HEGGEL Coat 191 is a one-component special acrylate polymer. It is an economical, weatherproof, protective and coloured topcoat. It protects surfaces against aggressive influences from the atmosphere with self-cleaning properties up to a certain extent. Due to the special acrylate polymer combination, it is possible to achieve abrasion resistant surfaces which are easy to clean. It contains solvents and VOC < 500 g/L.

HEGGEL®️  FLAKE

HEGGEL Flake stands for low-diffusion, chemically and thermally resistant synthetic resin coatings, which are enriched with glass flakes (wafer-thin, micro-fine, transparent glass flakes). Glass flakes are lamellar barrier pigments that line up parallel to the substrate. In this way, an excellent barrier effect is created which makes the penetration of moisture, gas and chemicals considerably more difficult and thus ensures a long lifetime of the coating. HEGGEL Flake coating systems are mainly used in chimneys, gas preheaters, heat exchangers or gas ducts in flue gas desulphurisation plants.
In addition, HEGGEL Flake offers high dry temperature resistance, outstanding adhesion to steel and high abrasion resistance.
HEGGEL Flake products are self-priming single or multi-layer systems, with extreme adhesion to concrete and steel.

Glass Flake Filled Novolac Vinyl Ester Resin

HEGGEL Flake 710 is a two-component; vapour diffusion resistant, inert flake filled polymer coating based on a chemical and thermal resistant Novolac vinyl ester resin. HEGGEL Flake 710 is the ideal corrosion protection if high chemical resistance is required at high medium temperatures. The parallel to the substrate oriented inert flakes provide an excellent diffusion barrier and thus ensure a long service life.

HEGGEL Flake 710 is used mainly in raw gas and clean gas ducts, heat exchangers, flue gas scrubbers, wet electric filters, stacks and gas pre-heaters of flue gas desulphurization plants. Furthermore, it is also used in other plant components which are exposed to acid fumes and gases. HEGGEL Flake 710 is also suitable as corrosion protection for storage and process tanks, wastewater treatment plants, stack gas scrubbers, waste incineration plants and biogas plants.
